DESCRIPTION:
WW - Hamilton Altair, electric, 31mm x 40mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original gold-filled asymmetrical snap back case, black leather strap, original silvered dial with applied gold indices, 11J cal 505, s#E82703, triple signed. A fabulous example of mid-century modern design by the famous Richard Arbib; it is said that roughly 1600 examples of this hard-to-find model were made.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to steelwork; fine-plus dial with light surface spotting and fine scratches; excellent gold hands; lightly polished case shows very little wear, numerous small dings on case back most notably near case tip; original crown shows little wear; excellent original shaped plastic crystal.
